Welcome to Garden Junk. After reading the following on our photo albums please take the time to read Our Mission Statement also. Although we have a "no stinkin' rules" policy around here we do insist on kindness. The following was written to help you understand our weird/communal picture albums:
Subject: IMPORTANT INFO ON POSTING AND VIEWING PHOTOS IN ALBUMS
Please take the time to read so that you will have more fun using our site
- Our group was created so that we all could share ideas and inspiration. In order to make it easier to share, we have photo albums according to subject matter, rather than members having their own personal albums. This way if a member is looking for inspiration for a bowling ball project for example, they can go to the Bowling ball album and look through it. We have so many members with so many wonderful and creative ideas, we have found that this works best. We ask for your understanding and once you attempt to research a particular project on this site you will understand why we ask, "no personal photos albums please."
- If you really want your own personal photo album, there are many sites on the Internet where you can put together your own free photo album or webpage and many of our members have done so. And we encourage members to share their personal albums and webpages, either in the "Links" page and/or in posts on the boards. If you have questions about where to get a free photo album or webpage, post a question on the board and someone will help you find one that works well for you.
- Our photo albums are for member’s original work. If you find a really cool photo on the Internet, please be aware that there maybe copyright issues involved, so we ask you not post the photo in our photo albums. However we do encourage members to share these Internet photos in the discussion boards, you can post the photo or a link to it there. Many a great idea has come from such sharing.
- We have tried to make the photo album subjects as understandable as we can, but if you have questions (and you are certainly not the only one to have questions) we recommend that you first post your question on the message boards before you post your photo. This way confusion will be kept at a minimum.
- There are times when a photo is deleted by one of our managers if it is not considered appropriate to the album it was posted in. We try very hard not to do this. We do not like to delete photos and we will try to contact the member first to find a better place for the photo so that the albums are more user friendly.
- If you are having a computer problem, make sure to check out our Computer Tips and Information folder. There are many tips that will help both the newbie and experienced person.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding and hope that this will help you enjoy Garden Junk!
