    Re: rememboring

Bella, I still have the gourd you made for me hanging just off the deck.. it still swings all the time, even when there's no wind! My boys were trying to figure out the logistics of perpetual motion and ended up with: it's a life of its' own!! And, our kitty named after you "Bella" is doing well!

    Love you girl!!!

    Re: rememboring

If this site is an off shoot of Spike's Garden Junk,I only had time to lurk there once in a while from 2000 until 2005. My husband was ill with cancer at that time. It has been 10 years  almost, since he passed and I have been spending my time doing a bit of traveling. I even moved a couple of times: to NYS from the west coast and back to the west coast again almost 3 years ago. I thought I wanted to live where I grew up but it isn't the same with all the people I used to know either moved on or passed away. My 5 children (in their 50's & early 60's now) all live on the west coast from Alaska to Southern California. I'm only living near one and her family. As of a year ago,I am a great, great grandmother. By August sometime I will have three great, great grandchildren, two girls and a boy. I am hoping to be able to see the other three women soon that will make up the five generations along with their babies. Actually,it is four women because two sisters had girls a year apart, almost to the day.                                                                               I have been doing quite a bit of crafts the last few years, but it has been all inside type stuff. However, recently I started collecting books, etc.,for ideas on painting rocks and now that it is almost summer I expect to spend my time outdoors painting them.                     You asked for a bit about myself and I think I got carried away,so to speak.                     By-the-way does rocks qualify as junk? When I start giving them away as presents, the recipients might think so. I hope everyone has a great summer.I know I'm going to enjoy it. PurpleGranny49

    Re: rememboring

Hi Purple Granny! Yes this site is an off shoot of Spike's Garden Junk. He had so many rules and stuff and kept sending people to Disneyland when they were bad! And, yes rock painting qualifies...our motto is: We don't have no stinkin' rules. Well except to be kind. It's very very quiet here anymore.
