  active posts? Reply Quote I would have put this in the 'to read most recent posts' thread, but it seems to be locked(?). to read the most recent posts I click on the 'active' button. this is great as long as I'm only reading......getting back to the recent posts via the link in the top tool bar. after replying to an active thread is there a way to get back to the list of recent posts without going through the Forums link again, then again clicking on active? does David know what he got himself into here dealing with all us old biddies?

  Re: active posts? Reply Quote Ruth, To keep an important post at the top the only way I personally know how to do it is to pin it so it doesn't move. I wasn't able to find a pin topic option but I did find the lock option so I used it. David can let Dottie know what to do in the future I was just trying to help Dottie. Sorry if I did it incorrectly.     Live and learn, as it keeps life interesting!

  Re: active posts? Reply Quote This is the way that I keep up on posts... go to the box at top on right that says shortcuts then click on posts you haven't read .. If you have a ton of them and don't want to read them all, just click on all of them one at a time so that it will be clear (the computer will think you read them all), then the next time there is a post if you click on that then you will get the newest post in order. I didn't see the shortcuts. now I'm still looking.....what am I missing here? after reading a new post you use the 'back' button to return to the list of unread threads? I guess what I'm looking for is a 'all message board' page like we had on msn where you could read and reply to current active threads......then return straight to the list of active threads. I'm not meaning to compare this to the other site, but the 'all message board' option was a handy little tool for speeding up navigation of the site.

Reply Quote Yes, you would just hit back button, but if there are alot and you don't want to keep track of what you've read just hit the shortcut unread again and it will not show the ones you just read. As for the list... if you just click on forums the side columns will show the threads you have been active in as well as the rest of the active. I know it's not like msn, but that could be a good thing too...lol with as much frustration as so many had. Anyway here it is and as my son in law always says...
