    Re: Looking for moonflower seeds

I believe it is white moonflowers that I have. Large white blooms that are closed most of the day. Not real sure. I was sent the seeds about 4 years ago and they have done great til this year. Has been a fight with Japanese Beetles. They attacked all the blooms. I am hoping got dusted again to have some new blooms. If so, will post a pic and you can tell me if this is it. Plant is about 4 ft tall and getting wider each year. Pretty good stalks.  Then will send seeds if it is what you want. I did send some seeds this spring to a cousin in AB, she got them alright. I know is strict.

    Re: Looking for moonflower seeds

I did some looking regarding moonflowers and according to what I am finding, they should have vines. Mine do not have vines. An article says most people confuse a more stalky plant named Datura as moonflowers. So checked that and TG  I don't  have Datura. So not sure what I have. Been awhile since I have had it but thinking it was from seeds. Maybe, maybe not. Will still try for a pic and see what I actually have.

Lady Helen, Don't know if  this a moonflower. Don't have vines and only comes in white and rust. Close as I could come.Seeds came from a Maytag washer. Leaves from a green freon tank. Any way, our version of a moonflower.

    Re: Looking for moonflower seeds

Lady Helen, A lady that buys stuff from me saw the flower and I said it was  a Moonflower. She said a moonflower is a Clematis and gave me a tuber. So if I can ship it to you and if it is what you wanted, Send me your mailing address. And Dottie it is about time you get home from your traveling. What is Calif. doing without you?

    Re: Looking for moonflower seeds

Well, I think my California family doesn't want me to go away for that long again (7 weeks), but my Canadian family is lovin' it!!! Hubby joined me for last week too...

I think I have found a supplier for the moonflower seeds. It is: Datura stramonium Jimsonweed

Here is the link I found: http://seedrack.com/03.html

    Re: Looking for moonflower seeds

Sorry for the delay, I was away at the cottage to finish off a glass on glass (not quite done but real close) and make

my bottle tree. (I'll start a different post about it with a photo)

I am familiar with Datura, white flowers look like a trumpet. Tried them but since they self seed I got rid of them.

The moonflower I am trying to get ahold of is a vine, the flowers open at night and they

are suppose to have a lovely sent.

So Ron it looks like you have what I am looking for. Not sure if you are allowed to send it to Canada

but we could try and see what happens. I will send you my home address via email.

Ron, your moonflower made me smile.
