    Stuffed Camel Recipe.

As an avid collector of recipes I really enjoy collection both real and funny recipes.   I thought you might enjoy this fantasy recipe for your next get together with a big gang of your friends.  This recipe was given to me, when I was in the Middle East this past November

    1 whole camel, medium size

    1 whole lamb, large size

    20 whole chickens, medium size

     60 eggs

    12 kilos of rice

    2 kilos of pine nuts

    2 kilos of almonds

    1 kilo pistachio nuts

    110 gallons of water

    5 pounds of black pepper

    Salt to taste

Skin, trim and clean camel (once you get over the hump, it goes fast), lamb, and chicken.  Boil until tender about 2 days for the camel, add

other ingredients and continue boiling for a third day.  Cook rice until fluffy.  Fry nuts until brown and mix with rice. Hard boil eggs and peel.  Stuff

cooked chickens with hard oiled eggs and rice.  Stuff the cooked lamb with stuffed chickens.  Add more rice. Stuff the camel with the stuffed

lamb and rest of rice.  Broil over large charcoal pit until brown ..Spread any remaining rice on large tray and place camel on top of rice.  Decorate

with boiled eggs and nuts.  Serves friendly crowd of 80 -100 people.  Wink

Thanks, I will probably use that next week! If I can find a camel-LOL

I have some recipes on an old folder somewhere with earthworms and things like that as ingredients. I found them in the Seattle newspaper in the last 60's and just had to put them in my recipe folder!

Don't know why I haven't seen this post before now.  LOL, that is soooooo cute.  Reckon I could use a buffalo instead of the camel?

    Re: Stuffed Camel Recipe.

Finding the camel would be one thing, but can you imagine the size of the fire pit that you would need? It would take a back hoe to make a hole big enough for all of that meat! Too funny!

edited to add: I just reread the entire thing closely and realized that you would also need a crane to lift the camel stuffed with lamb stuffed with chickens stuffed with eggs and other ingredients to get it onto the fire pit-hah!
