    Please pray for Bella's son...

Calling all garden junkers for prayer...

Donald is being airlifted (on life support) to Lismore Intensive Care Unit and Wally and I have to go to Lismore early in the morning - it is 10.30 p.m. here and I am waiting to hear from the specialist to see if he was ok when he went on the helicopter - he has a massive infection throughout his body and one lung is filling up with fluid and they have put him on support to make his lung drain - say a little prayer for him as it is his 45th birthday tomorrow and what a way to have it - they do not know if the infection is from his liver or not at the moment

Today's report from Bella's sister:  Just a short note to let you know that Donald is in hospital and coming along very slowly, he is in Intensive Care and has been there from last Sunday – Isabel is staying at the hospital - please say some prayers for him

Thank you one and all for your prayers during this trying time - Donald is slowly recovering but has to go to Brisbane next week (Wed) to have an endoscopic ultrasound (down his throat) to check the stent they put in his bile duct (they replaced the first one which had the bacteria that took over his whole body and he was brought back to life 3 times) - also will check out for tumours in and around his pancreas - they had to cut him open to see if he had a thing called 'rotten gut' which we had never even heard of but he was ok and they washed him out apparently - not something I would wish on anyone what we have been through and I myself think the 'power of prayer' brought him through this - once again thank you all as it means a lot to know we have had such fabulous support - love as always - Bella

Well we are home again and have found out that all of Donald's problems were because they did not give him an antibiotic when they put the stent in over a month ago - he has had bilary sepsis and apparently you do not recover from it - if you look it up on Google you will see what it is - cannot believe it has been through neglect that this has happened when you are supposed to be in the top place for liver problems and have the top specialist - makes one wonder - praise God he has recovered and is home and off the danger list and that we have good doctors here in the country who saved his life - they say that country hospitals are not as good as the city but boy I can vouch that that is quite a different story for us - thank you one and all for your prayers - love as always - Bella

Oh Bella, so glad you are all back home where you belong and that Donald is doing better. That's just craziness that, that happened to him out of neglect. Maybe now you can get back to your gardens... oh it's winter there isn't it?
