Hi Vixen, your garden photos look beautiful as always.  And you made quite a haul of flowers at that lady's yard.

Oh my, you got shot in the eye!!??  Not really!?  I hope it is on the mend.  That must be quite a story!  Forgive me if you wrote about it in the forums and I missed it.  I've been getting on here only occasionally with all the summer activity.

I'm sorry about your husband's granny.

Get well and stay out of the range of fire.  Take care.

Just revisited this thread and your garden pictures, Vixen, and wanted to say that I like your flowerpot cat with the springy legs!

    Hi, yall

I just found this site looks like lots of fun! Love the pics!

It is always good for gardeners to trade or give-away extra bulbs, etc. My mother-in-law (ex) just gave me some naked lilly bulbs and bunches of hay for my garden and my daughter gave me Purple Iris rhizomes, Yellow Cannas.

Hope everyone finds peace with your husband's granny moving to her reward. You got shot in the eye! WOW! I can only imagine that it could cause problems for a while, hope your eye heals well.

     Kindest Regards,

    Suzan

    Re: hi yall

    thanks yall,

i was shot in the eye with a bb gun about 8 inches from my eye when i was nine.it put a hole one centimeter from the pupil in the front of the eye and went out the back and blew off the back of the eyeball.i have my vision but the eye can't have any sun or it causes migraine.it also acts up in cloudy or rainy weather.i feel fortunate to have my vision.

    Re: hi yall

Glad you still have vision! My husband's uncle had a similar accident with a BB gun, but was afraid to tell his Mother when it happened. I think that he retained some vision, but would have done better if he had seen a Dr sooner.

You got a good deal on the plants! I like caladiums but don't have much luck with them. Love Iris but they have trouble this far South. Wish I could grow both of those.

    hi yall,

nonacook i don't know if it would of helped to tell his mother sooner.i did not tell my parents the truth at first.i probably would have tried to stick with the story i told them.i told them i stuck myself in the eye.my grandfather came over on the seventh day after i was shot and told my parents they needed to put visine in my eye.that visine hurt so bad i finally admitted what really happened.i was in the hospital for nine days while they ran fluids in my eye.i had a great doctor.the first two doctors who seen me wanted to remove the eye but the third doctor told my parents he could save my eye.he was wonderful.have a great day.
