we have a pet rabbit named thumper we were given that was won at the fair by a family who did not want her.she was a cute little thing.she stays on our closed in front porch.mama was bringing some stuff in late saturday night after christmas and closed thumper leg in the door.i had to find a vet that would see rabbits.the two vets i use does not see rabbits but refered me to a vet that did.i took her over there monday and the leg was broke.they set it and put a splint on it and she came home the next day.i had to take her for a check up on her leg tuesday.the vet said she was moving around to much in her room so i had to dig out the large dog carrier and put her in it in the livingroom so she wounld not be alone all the time.she looks so funny and it looks so uncomfortable.i always bring her in if it drops below 40 degrees.i know cold makes broke bones hurt worse so i can not put her in her pen on the front porch.we are having record temps for southeast georgia.she goes back to the vet tomorrow for her two week checkup on the leg.i am afraid she has some rough days ahead of her.have a goodnight.
