i hope yall had a great day.it was 100 degrees wensday but i had to do some running since we had a job thursday so i did not get a chance to get outside to work in the yard.i had to take little bit for his allergy shot wensday.he has his head and neck all tore up.hubby took me to the crab shack on tybee island for supper wensday night.it was great.they have no air condition and it is all opened up so you can look at the beach.we let samson in as soon as we got back.he was wore out from running around in the yard.he fell asleep with one leg under the coffee table and one on the shelf under the coffee table.i got some pics.it was 102 degrees thursday.we were working on our yard job when a lady from the local news ask us to do an interview about the west nile virus the mosquitos are carring this year.they have found a lot of mosquitos infected in the area were working in.they wanted to know if we were concerned about catching it since we are out in an area working where they have been found.we use bug spray and try to protect ourselves the best we can.we were on several times on the newscast for the afternoon.we are having a bigger problem with bees than mosquitoes we put samson out about 3:00 am friday night to go to the bathroom.he did not want to come back in so we left him in the fence with nellie.when i open the door he usually comes running but he was no where to be seen.i walked out and called for him and he came limping out from under the boat trailer.when we got him inside we found a lump behind his penis and his foot and leg were swollen up to his knee.we called the vet immediately and left a message.they called back about 10 minutes later.they said he was probably stung by a bee since we could not find any bite marks.they said give him three benadryl and if it was still swollen in six hours give him another dose.they said he the swelling continued or he started vomiting to call back right away.after we gave him the benadryl he rested and the swelling is slowly going down and he has stopped limping.i as really worried about his hip being injured.i am glad it was only a bite.he seems fine today.have a goodnight.
