we made an appointment for this past tuesday when we were at the vet to get his heartworm medicine last week to check on his skin problem.he had a funny smell and always having red sores and flaky skin even after his bath.i had read on some sites about scabies and i wanted to make sure that was not his problem.he did not have the scabies or the two different manges dogs get but she said some of the places he was chewing was getting infected so he has to take some antibiotics and no bath for seven days and then he has to go back.the last bath we gave him two days before we took him to the vet we used the adam flea and tick shampoo and it took away the bad smell and he was on scratching and biting as bad.his skin felt so much better but the vet said it would dry his skin out worse if used to much.i believe we are going to have to put something in the backyard and anywhere else fleas might be where he goes to solve the problem.the frontline does not kill quick enough.he weighed 74.9 pounds.i got some new pics.hubby had his appointment in macon yesterday with new doctor.it took us about two and a half hours to get there.he likes the doctor.they are doing bloodwork and they done some x-rays of hand and shoulder.we have to go back for him to have some more tests but waiting on insurance approval.have a great day.
